Planning and Giving

Finance Ministry

The Finance Ministry directs policy and procedure in regard to financial activities of the church.  The Vestry relies on information, direction and recommendations from the Finance Ministry in conducting its business.  The chairperson of the ministry frequently attends Vestry meetings at the invitation of the Rector or the Senior Warden.

Budget

Each year, Holy Family adopts a budget based on pledged donations, unpledged contributions and other resources.  The goal each year is to develop, adopt and meet a balanced budget. In most years, we meet this goal.  There occasionally are times when unforeseen circumstances result in either a surplus or a deficit.  The Finance Ministry routinely evaluates the situation and undertakes remediation efforts when needed.  For information about the budget at Holy Family, please contact the Parish Administrator at 770-893-4525.

Annual Report

At Holy Family, a report is prepared each year for presentation at the Annual Parish Meeting. The report includes pertinent and timely information about the state of the parish, including financial information and an overview of each of our ministries.

Long Range Plan Summary

Holy Family has developed a Long Range Plan as our guide into the future. This plan seeks to align our objectives and actions to achieve the goals we have set forth for stewardship of our campus, physical facilities, programs and finances. The plan is reviewed annually and adjusted as needed.

Fundraising

Several times a year Holy Family conducts and participates in fundraising events in support of global and local charities.  Two events that are unique to Holy Family are the Heart and Soul BBQ and the High Tea.  These events are in support of community non-profits such as C.A.R.E.S, Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center, ACES, and others, and our global ministries supporting Haitian Hope and The Lamb Institute in Honduras.  Other events are community based, often in conjunction with other churches in the area, such as The Pastor’s Pot and Taste of Pickens.
